Have you ever gotten the nervous giggles? You know, when you laugh uncontrollably at the most inappropriate time because someone or something is making you nervous. I embarrassed myself at dinner on Saturday night. Ben and I rarely take the kids out for dinner. And if we do, it's good ol' Panera Bread for us. Comfortable, fast, friendly, and we know what the boys like. Well, not this time, oh no, we had to try something new. The food was wonderful...but getting to that point was a bit more complicated.
You see, those who know Asher know that his decibel level is about, oh, 1200 times higher than the average person. On Saturday, it was about 2500 decibel higher. As soon as we sat down at the table he started talking as loud as he could. WAADUUUU. WAADUUUUUUUUUUU. He wanted water. Not the water in his sippy cup. He wanted water in a big boy cup with a straw just like his brother. SAUUUUUU. SAUUUUUU. He wanted "sauce" for his chips, like his big brother. The table next to use, thankfully, was amused. They kept laughing at him (cause he is adorable, you know) and he kept getting louder and louder, and LOUDER.
And then I couldn't take it anymore. I just burst out in laughter. Uncontrollable, to the point of tears laughter. I must have looked like an idiot, but I just couldn't help it. Asher was screaming WAAADUUUUU, Ben was getting frustrated, Aiden was making a mess with the chips and salsa, and the table next to us was being entertained. And I was having a giggle fit.
So, the moral of this story is, when you take the kids out to dinner...just go to Panera Bread and save the new restaurants for date night :)
OH Ang. I would smile and giggle at your boys too.. *I* know exactly what you are talking about... in fact. I should also blog about my uncontrollable laughter... ;)

LOL! I've been entertained by little cuties like that at dinner. I'm sure I would have laughed too. The boys are getting sooo big!
