I was cleaning out our office space a few weeks ago and came across a box of love letters my husband and I had written to eachother throughout the years. We sat on our dining room floor that night reading them together. It was sweet and fun and embarrassing and thought-provoking. But mostly it just made me remember all the reasons I fell in love with my husband and it reminded me not take those things for granted.
Quite a few blogging buddies have recently posted about the site called Friday Letters, where a weekly prompt encourages you to take 15 minutes a week to write a love letter to your children. This site has inspired me to start a new project, which influenced this weeks Hodge Podge Challenge and my newest layout. Here is the first of many "baby love letters" to come. My goal is to get a year's worth of love letters combined with photos and art.
Since I've started scrapping over two and a half years ago, I've never put any thought or effort into organizing my albums. In fact, other than the few mini albums I've created, I've only printed my pages twice...and all of them were ruined when Aiden got a hold of his album last year during nap time and destroyed ever single one. I think I've been afraid to print any more out in fear of wasting money like that again. I am in awe at how Ali Edwards surrounds herself with her memories and her art. I am on a mission to change my bad scrapping habits so that these memories I've preserved get off of my computer and into the hands that I create them for. I will let you know how it goes :)
